From the Broker

This listing is for an Amazon FBA business (US, UK, DE, with AUS, NZ coming soon) created in December 2015 in the beauty & cosmetics niche. The Amazon Seller Central accounts are included and feature 10 product SKUs more than one of which is currently ‘Amazon Choice.’ The business is registered with Amazon’s Brand Registry program and has a registered trademark pending approval, which is included in the sale.

The business has grown over 400% in the last 12 months, partially due to a very popular product which their supplier holds the patent on, and has exclusively allowed only two US distributors, one of which is this business. The Seller has a very good relationship with all their suppliers and has never run into any major problems since they started working together. They also have a number of products in the pipeline which, when launched, will take the brand to the next level.

Two of the business’s main products have consistently been ‘Amazon’s Choice’. Amazon has even given permission to store hazardous products with them, which is a very rare opportunity. Amazon only offers this opportunity to its trusted sellers, and the Buyer will definitely benefit from this. Furthermore, the business has been given priority for entering into and selecting the best slots for Lighting Deals, Prime Day, Black Friday, etc. Again, only sellers with certain status would even get an invitation to these type of Amazon promotions. All in all, the business has a great relationship with Amazon, and the Seller feels that is one crucial factor for their success.

The business keeps on top of customer service, every email is answered within 24 hours, each email is aimed to build rapport with customers, and the Seller feels this is why they have a high percentage of returning customers. They also have a well-designed email system which earns a lot more customer reviews, which is another crucial factor for success, and this will be shared with the new Buyer.

It is worth noting that the business requires less than 4 hours per week from the Seller. Day to day tasks include replying to customer emails, checking the sales report, checking all the listings, checking over the PPC Campaigns. With very few customer emails, it takes around a half an hour a day to look after this business. The Seller is even currently interviewing someone to look after the day to day activities to free up this small time, to allow the Buyer to concentrate on other areas. A range of software programs that automate key facets of the process is also used to run this business.

In that vein, a third-party company runs all the social media accounts. They are happy to be kept on by the new business owner if they so choose. Content is added but not on a monthly basis. The Seller has a private copywriter which they hire to write all their content and a designer/photo editor for all the product designs and photos.

The business currently sells 99% through FBA and 1% through their Shopify Site. The Seller has already begun focusing on this and is working with a Shopify specialist to revamp the website, which they hope will lead to more sales and customer signups. They also have an email list of 1K+. These are just two opportunities for growth in a business that is already growing very fast.

*As Amazon recently invited the business to the Hazardous program, the Seller is in the process of transitioning one SKU that is currently Seller Fulfilled by a third party.
