This listing is for a primarily ecommerce & FBA business created in March 2011 in the apparel & accessories niche selling in the UK, the US, and more. The business focuses on a specific accessory associated with health and wellbeing. The Shopify site brings in 75% of the income, using several lead-generation landing pages. These pages target a variety of applications for the accessory, as well as communities within the product niche. This business is growing and there is a clear path for further growth outlined.

The second top monetization is Amazon FBA (UK, US). The Amazon Seller Central account is included in the sale, and the SKUs have lots of reviews. The business also sells through Walmart and Ebay. The majority of sales, for all monetizations, are in the UK, next, the US, and on to include Canada, most European countries, Asia, the Middle East, South Africa, and Australia. Worth noting, the business has only ever targeted English speaking customers, obviously leaving massive parts of the world untouched.

The Seller is more than happy to provide support for as long as required by the Buyer. There’d be no cap on this. If in 12 months time the Buyer has a question the Seller will be more than happy to help free of charge. The business requires minimal hours, as the Seller had help from a VA who will not be staying with the Buyer. However, if desired, the VA will continue with the Buyer for 3-6 months while she trains the Buyer’s VA.

The Seller has designed the products and packaging. While some of them are generic products which the business has branded, the best sellers are the Seller’s designs. The Seller created it so that the whole thing (boxed) could be shipped as a large letter size, saving a fortune on shipping and storage. The Seller has a new product in the works at the moment which will be launching shortly. The business tries to bring out something new at least once or twice a year to engage the previous customers and keep the brand fresh. Design work could easily be outsourced, but the Seller enjoyed doing it.

The business has an email list of about 80K active subscribers … adding roughly 1500 subscribers to it a week, some weeks closer to 2000 (split into the various targeted niches). These are all genuine subscribes from the business’s landing pages. All lead gen pages are included with the sale. These pages feed the system with leads and buyers for various verticals mostly originating from Facebook ad traffic and segmented by the vertical the user came through (specific niche). The business also does paid solo emails with national magazines.

Alongside word of mouth and Adwords, Facebook provides a large portion of the traffic. On top of the 36K followers, Facebook is a traffic source from paid advertising. The business occasionally runs competitions for some organic reach, but paid ads far outperform this compared to the time spent sorting it out.

The business has had several international distributors over the years — at present, only in New Zealand and Australia. While this is a small part of the business, it’s still money. Building a strong distribution base in other countries could be something the new Buyer pursues. In the past, this type of distribution has lead to sales in India, USA, Canada, Singapore, and various other countries with agents who came and went. These all tended to focus on offline sales. One of the aforementioned countries’ Olympic team even wore the product.

The Seller has some wholesale deals where they act as the ‘middle man’ between the retailer and the supplier, making a little bit off the top. Making products for other companies is a good idea and a good part of the business if the Buyer wanted to go down that route.
