From the Broker

This listing is for an ecommerce and dropshipping two-site package created in June 2016 in the general niche. The Shopify sites feature a variety of products, including kitchen tools, apparel & accessories, aromatherapy, and more. The business is part dropshipping, part branded products shipped by a fulfillment center, includes a newly launched subscription service, and thanks to four VAs, requires minimal work from the Seller.

The site enjoys international traffic with around 40% coming from the US, 30% from Canada and around 20% from Australia. The traffic is primarily driven by paid social media advertising, which builds on the 140K+ Facebook followers, with the rest coming from direct traffic. The VAs run the customer service department. They are not aware of the sale, but the Seller is confident they would want to continue with the new owner.

There are also almost 250K email subscribers, 220K of which are previous customers. The Seller sends out emails 4 to 5 times a week promoting various deals. There are a few automated flows including abandon cart and a ‘free shipping and handling’ offer after purchase. The Seller recently started segmenting the audiences to remove unengaged customers. They have not done any campaigns to win back previous customers, so this is an opportunity for the Buyer to explore.

*While the supplier is on the AliExpress platform, the Seller works with him directly, sending him daily orders which are automatically created via a custom software. Around 5% of the dropshipped products for the business are directly from AliExpress.

*A portion of products are on both sites.

*The business had a low-quality score feedback penalty on Facebook in February and March 2018. Since this was fixed, the business is enjoying an all-time high for feedback.

*We’ve decided to use a 3-month average of net profit for the valuation because we felt that a 12-month average did not accurately represent the current state of the business.
