From the Broker

Launched in May of 2018, this business provides user testing services for eCommerce businesses. If you glanced at the selling multiple it may seem like there is an issue. After studying this opportunity it has all the infrastructure needed to be a thriving business. It has never been marketed and the space it operates in is an attractive area for buyers with a strong marketing background. We have priced this based on the proposed value of the opportunity.

The business was developed and launched by the seller. The seller is a serial entrepreneur with several projects on his plate and a growing family. He is looking to pass this opportunity on to a buyer that wants to invest the energy it needs to go to the next level.

The business has active testers who will go to the page they are directed to and record a 5-minute video testing the functionality of a site. Examples of the types of tests they perform are: general feedback, navigation stress, landing page test, and competitor feedback. The biggest competitor in the space charges $25,000 for a seat on their platform and then each test is priced at a minimum of $50. This business currently has 414 active testers and 732 pending testers that have never been used yet.

The pricing model is based on how many tests are requested by the customer. The more tests they purchase for a project the cheaper the price. For example, if a site owner wants 10 tests they would pay $180. The site would then pay the testers $5 each for the 10 tests resulting in $130 profit. The infrastructure is there for a very profitable business. The new buyer needs to add marketing to see the revenues grow.
